The elementary curriculum centers around language rich, hands-on, inquiry based learning activities that provide students with opportunities to develop and improve skills in language arts, math, science, and social studies. Integration of subject matter, an integral component of our program, is used to make learning more meaningful to our students.
Students gain confidence and proficiency in reading and writing through a literature based reading program and writers’ workshop. Mathematics skills are acquired and reinforced through exploration and hands-on activities using GoMath, which stresses the development of problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Science and Social Studies are explored through units of study full of experiential learning and enriched with monthly field trips.
Students also participate in physical education, art, world language, music, computer classes. Click here or further information about these classes,
